Vintage Silver Solje Necklace and Earrings - Norway

Silver solje was worn in Norway with the traditional costumes, and it has been said that different regions had different styles of solje. The jewelry is like lacy silver, similar to the look of filigree, with fine chains, flat "spoons" and silver accent decorations. You could imagine this being in style with the Viking women. The necklace in this set measures 15 1/2" and fastens with a spring-ring clasp. The dangling earrings have clip backs and measure 1" wide by 2" long.
